SNOOK, George P. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, February 14, 2011, George P. Snook of Western Bay, age 79 years. Predeceased by first wife: Minnie; step-son: Ray; parents: John and Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn, wife: Mary; two step-daughters: Janice Peddle and Paula (Sam) White; five step-sons: Boivan (Carol), Doug (Crystal), Bob (Christine), Wayne (Carol) and John (Bonnie); thirteen step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Edward (Evelyn), Botwood and Elihu (Annie), Victoria; two sisters: Louise (John) Penney, Carbonear and Elsie (Roland) Snow, Freshwater; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to McDowell United Church Trustee Board.
