To Paul, Stephanie and family, On behalf of myself and my wife Phyllis I would like to extent our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies. Having worked with Fred for many years it was indeed a pleasure to have him as a co-worker. Never one to complain, he was always eager to fulfill all his job requirements and took great pride in a job well done. We enjoyed many cook-ups and shared many laughs through the years. We were shocked to hear of Fred's illness awhile ago but were deeply saddened to hear of his passing. However we take comfort in the knowledge that Fred's battle with this horrid disease has ended and he is now at rest and at peace. It was a privilage to have Fred as a co-worker but more importantly a honour to have him as a friend. Rest in peace dear friend. Sincerely, Dexter and Phyllis

I was saddened to hear of Fred's passing at such a young age. I attended school with him from grades six to eleven and we graduated together in the class of '76. I remember Fred as a good student and a very nice, quiet guy. Paul & Stephanie, may the happiness you all shared be warmly remembered and may those memories help to ease the pain of your loss.

We were so sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. Although we didn’t have the privilege of knowing him well, it was obvious that he was a man to be appreciated, admired, emulated and loved. We will always remember Paul’s stories of his dad playing tricks on him during the night – what a wonderful sense of humor. The world was obviously a better place with him in it. We wish we could be there to give you all a hug and listen to more recounting of happier times. Please know we are thinking of you all and sending our love and prayers of peace.

Very sorry to hear that Fred has passed away. My brother Ken and I were saddened by the news today. We did have a few chuckles remembering some stories about growing up with Freddy. From attending his birthday parties, to trouting in Freshwater pond, returning home was always a pleasure to see him again and reminisce about old times. Our family hopes you find strength in memories of Fred. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I only knew Fred in the last few years of his life; however, in that short time his utter devotion to his family was very obvious. He was a wonderful, caring father who, without exception, put his children, Stephanie and Paul, first and foremost in his life. Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, I saw a determined man who wanted and succeeded in living to see both his daughter and his son get married. He was an inspiration to us all and leaves a massive void in the hearts and lives of his children and indeed in all of us who are associated with them. He has left quite a legacy in his two children who have inherited and portrayed his generous, and caring nature. From the day that Fred was diagnosed with cancer, they insisted he come live with them and did so up until the day before he died. He never went to a doctor's visit or a treatment session without one of his children with him. I saw firsthand the care and love that Paul and Stephanie(daughter-in-law) and Stephanie and Angus(son-in-law) bestowed upon him. My deepest sympathies go out to them and all of his family and may they find comfort in the knowledge that even though he is gone,he will remain forever in their hearts.
