Obituary of Bessie J. Parsons

PARSONS, Bessie J. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, February 18, 2007, Bessie J. Parsons of Victoria, age 80 years. Predeceased by 1st husband: Silas Parsons and 2nd husband Roy Taylor; parents: Elijah and Maude Vaters; two brothers: Chester and Cecil. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Lois (John) Purcell, Acton, ON; four sons: Bruce Parsons and Garfield (Paula) Parsons, both of Victoria, Donald (Joan) Parsons, Carbonear and Roland (Wanda) Parsons, Salmon Cove; eleven grandchildren: Valerie (Ryan), Johnny, Gerard, Chad (Tara), Kyle, Ryan, Donnie (Pauline), Tracy (Chris), Crystal (Mark), Adam and Adrian; eight great-grandchildren: Devon, Robert, Joshua, Krista, James, Noah, Emma and Marissa; one sister: Frances Cole, Georgetown, ON; four sisters-in-law: Doris Vaters, Maxine Vaters, Ceneth Sutton and Annie Rose, all of Victoria; brother-in-law: Melvin (Mavis) Parsons, Heart's Content; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 21. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
