Obituary of Frederick Pilgrim

PILGRIM, Frederick- Passed peacefully away at his residence on Sunday, February 11, 2007, Frederick Pilgrim of Clarke's Beach, age 89 years. In Fred's earlier years he worked for Saunders and Howell Ltd., then Roaches Wholesale. In later years he went on to work with Penney Toyota in Grand Falls until the time of his retirement. Predeceased by parents: Hayward and Adelaide; sister: Minnie Pilgrim; brother: William Pilgrim. Leaving to mourn, wife: Elsa; one son: F. Calvin (Norma), Bay Roberts; five grandchildren: David, Elizabeth (Jim), Katrina (Trevor), Jamie and Jennifer (Keith); seven great-grandchildren: Matthew, Emily, Brady, Erikson, Ariana, Julia and James; one brother: George Pilgrim, Carbonear; sister-in-law: Rose (Herb) Russell; brother-in-law: Issac (Josie) Roach; sister-in-law: Mary Roach, all of Bay Roberts; also a large number of nieces and nephews; special friends Daisy Sacrey and Otto Taylor, other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, February 12 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; then resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Bay Roberts on Tuesday, February 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Bay Roberts. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear.
