I am standing on the sea shore, A ship sails in the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her Till at last she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says: "She is gone." Gone! Where? Gone from my sight - that is all. She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her And just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination. The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, Not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "She is gone", There are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout: "There she comes" - and that is dying. An horizon and just the limit of our sight. Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further. We love you and we will miss you Harold. All our prayers , warm blessings, and love go out to Lindsay, Viola, and the families. Love Christine, Don, Seymour Murphy. Audrey and Hayward Seymour.

To the Ash family I extend my deepest sympathy and know that you are in my prayers. I first met Harold when I worked with Linda at Exon House in S. John's in 75 and worked with Harold in Churchill Falls Fire & Security from 82. To say I have spent time wit Harold and have some great memories is an understatement. Night shifts and Lion's Club meetings haven't been the same. ( we still use his Christmas message from Santa ) On behalf of myself Elizabeth and Andrew and the Churchill Falls Lion's Club I send our condolences and prayers

Lindsay and the Earle Family; My deepest sympathy on the death of your father, Lindsay. I knew your father going down to the home to visit my sister in law. He would be singing his heart out setting by the door and I would stop and have a chat with him. I remember your mother, she was my friend when we went to school. I know it is hard to lose your mother and father at such a young age and your brother too. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Harold...He looked magnificent and very Handsome in his Police Uniform. He had a sense of humor unrivaled in my opinion. I spent many overnight visits as I recall at his home basking in the glow of Uncle Harold and Aunt Linda's love...you could sense and feel the warmth when you spent any time with them...that's what I loved the most about them.
Their honesty and the ability to be the real people they were..... They were perfectly happy in their own skin.
Uncle Harold was lovable for exactly who he was...I would like to say, I wished he shared a little more of the pain he felt in certain circumstances...yet that was not Uncle Harold's way. He seemed to want to make everyone in his presence feel like happiness and laughter was the way it should be. ( Maybe I should have gotten arrested just once to see how he handled that situation) :)... I know in my heart he treated all people with great respect, dignity and always laughter. He gave the world a great gift. Thank You Uncle Harold!
I pray for Lindsey, that she would find peace in her heart...I believe her Dad has been welcomed home, in the open arms of her Mom and Brother... Prayer's also for all who loved Harold for the amazing man he was.
Love you Uncle Harold
(Me...Judi)
