CHUBBS, Leslie C. 'Les' - Passed peacefully away at his residence on Thursday, October 28, 2010, Leslie C. 'Les' Chubbs of Carbonear, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents: Leander and Louisa Chubbs; brothers: George, Fred, Oscar, Charles, Gus, Joe and Ernest; sisters: Belle and Edith; nephews: Eric Chubbs, Cyril Chubbs and Rector King. Leaving to mourn,wife: Nita; special grand-nephews: Peter (Elizabeth) Chubbs and Adam Chubbs, both of Iqaluit and their mother Marie Chubbs, Carbonear; a large number of nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces; sisters-in-law: Shirley Chubbs, Carbonear and Phyllis (Clarence) Chubbs, Carbonear and their daughter: Lori (Shawn); special friends: Leeland, Eileen, Alicia and Eilanda Anderson, all of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family, Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
