Obituary of Edith Rowe

ROWE, Edith- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, December 15, 2006, Edith Rowe of Carbonear, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband: William Sr. 'Bill', infant son, son-in-law: Claude Garland, infant granddaughter: Holly Garland, parents: Capt. Arthur and Dorcas Dean, sister: Emmie Oates, brothers: Arthur Dean and George Dean. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Cairine Garland, Carbonear, Sandra (Randolph) Greeley, Upper Island Cove, Deanette Rowe, Carbonear and Jennifer (Mark) Gosse, Spaniard's Bay; four sons: William (Janice), Carbonear, George (Janice), Bristol's Hope, Gerald (Cheryl) and Peter (Michelle), both of Carbonear; sixteen grandchildren: Joanne, Augusta (Rob), Sandra (Camillo), Claude, Boyd (Nicola), Paul (Lisa), Corey (Jill), Zachery, Shane, Lucas, Andrea, Mark, Teri, Tonia (Steve), Gerianne and Lakeisha; two great-grandchildren: Andrew and Katelyn; sisters-in-law: Marjorie Agee, Margaret (Jimmy) Barnes and Frances (Billy) Taylor, all of USA, Flora Lamswood and Ella Rowe, both of St. John's and Laura 'Nan' Dean, Carbonear; special niece: Louise Drover (David), Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Sunday, December 17. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
