ASH, Elizabeth J. 'Aunt Lizzie' - Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Seniors Home, Clarke's Beach on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, Elizabeth J. 'Aunt Lizzie' Ash of Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by: husband: Arthur; daughter: Iva Green; son: Augustus 'Gus'; sister: Grace Mentions. Leaving to mourn two sons: David (Marilyn), Mount Pearl and Gord (Debbie), Victoria; two daughters: Lina (Sidney) Payne and Gloria (Norman) Peddle, both of Heart's Content; eighteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Eric Green, Heart's Content; daughter-in-law: Cora Ash, Carbonear; one brother: Gordon French, Shearstown; brother-in-law: Augustus Mentions, Bay Roberts; sister-in-law: Phyllis Ash, Carbonear.; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear North. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear North. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
