Obituary of Annie Hobbs

HOBBS, Annie Beatrice (nee Clarke) - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, on Friday, December 9, 2005, Annie Beatrice Hobbs (nee Clarke) of Chancellor Park, St. John's, formerly of Heart's Content, age 85 years. Predeceased by husband, Claude; parents, Reuben and Bertha Clarke; sister, Elsie. Leaving to mourn, brothers: Albert G. Clarke, St. John's, and John E. Clarke, Victoria; nieces: Elsie (Nev) Henderson and Patricia (Tom) Murphy, both of St. John's, and Evelyn (Francis) Connors, Pouch Cove; nephews: Johnny R. Clarke, and John (Judy) Hobbs, both of St. John's, David (Brenda) Clarke, Toronto, ON, Robert Hobbs, Mount Pearl, and other relatives, as well as many dear friends both here and abroad. Resting at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Heart's Content on Saturday, December 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; on Sunday, December 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from where the funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Heart's Content. No flowers by request; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
