Obituary of Gerald Higdon

HIGDON, Gerald H.- Passed peacefully away at his residence on Saturday, October 22, 2005, Gerald H. Higdon of Victoria, age 83 years. Predeceased by parents: Jacob and Alice; four brothers: Hayward, George, Stan and Raymond; two sisters: Vera and Elizabeth; special niece: Marina Dyke. Leaving to mourn, wife: Helen B.; one son: Paul (Tania), St. John's; two precious grandchildren: Shelly, St. John's and Jonathan, Vancouver, BC; two sisters: Florie (Cecil) Higdon, Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home, Clarke's Beach and Ruby (Alec) Brown, St. John's; sisters-in-law: Elva Higdon, New Harbour, Irene Gray, St. John's, Beaulah Clarke, Victoria, Margaret Clarke, Grand Falls and Elizabeth White, BC; special nieces: Cindy Reynolds, Carbonear and Mary (Bill) Coffin, St. John's; special nephews: Wylie (Marilyn) Clarke, Victoria, Stan (Jane) Higdon and Brian (Jackie) Higdon, both of New Harbour; special friends: Daphne Higdon and Vivian Hiscock, both of Victoria and Wilf Dyke, St. John's; also a large number of other nieces, nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 25. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Special Olympics, Carbonear Branch.
