Obituary of Elizabeth Parsons

PARSONS, Elizabeth (nee Clarke)- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, Elizabeth Parsons, at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex, on August 1, 2005 at the age of 92. Predeceased by son Clarence, daughter Maisie, sisters Martha, Claris, Janet and Nellie, brother Hubert. Deeply saddened by her loss and left with fond and loving memories are her husband and lifelong friend George, son George (Vivian), daughters Irene (Bern), Nellie (Allister) and Rosilan (Jack), son-in-law Jack Hastings, thirteen grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Anthony, Karen, Paul, David, John, Lori, Lila, Lisa, George, Bern, Kelly, Brian and Vanette as well as a number of great-grandchildren, sister Julia, sisters-in-law Lillian Parsons and Lily Clarke, dearly loved neighbours Fred and Sharon Howell, special friends Sadie Snow, Jeanette Penney and many other relatives and friends. She will be remembered for her spirit and love of life and her dedication and service to her community, Victoria. The family thanks Dr. Essaji and the staff of West I (Hoyles) for their exceptional care and compassion. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the United Church Choir, Victoria. Visitation will be held at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, August 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, August 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A Celebration of life Service will be held at Victoria United Church on Wednesday, August 3 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Victoria.
