Obituary of Joyce Snelgrove

SNELGROVE, Joyce Letitia (nee Murdoch) - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Saturday, May 7, 2005, Joyce Letitia Snelgrove (nee Murdoch) of Lower Island Cove, age 74 years. Predeceased by parents: Lily and William; brother: Arthur. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 50 years: William H.; two daughters: Donna (Nathan) Barrett, St. John's and Dale (Gordon) Doyle, Petty Harbour; two sons: W. David and Douglas, both of St. John's; six grandchildren: Nathan, Terra, Melanie, Kelsey, Michael and Emma; one brother: Richard (Joyce) Murdoch, Ontario; three sisters-in-law: Margaret Murdoch, Montreal, Quebec, Beatrice (Douglas) Rogers, Mount Pearl and Betty LeShane, Lower Island Cove; one brother-in-law: Gordon (Maude) Snelgrove, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, St. John's on Monday, May 9 from 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 ' 9 p.m. Then resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Tuesday, May 10 from 2 ' 5 p.m. and 7 ' 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 11 from 10:30 a.m. ' 12 noon and from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove.
