PECKHAM, George H.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, March 1, 2005, George H. Peckham of Salmon Cove, age 90 years. Honorary member of Grand Black Chapter of British America, Past Master of Roseville # 167 Orange Lodge, Salmon Cove, Past Master of Royal Black Perceptory # 1323, Salmon Cove and member of Men's Fellowship Club, Salmon Cove. Predeceased by wife: Sarah; infant son: William Edward; three grandsons: Noel, Rodger and Perry; son-in-law: Isaac; two brothers: Gordon and Arthur; three sisters: Agnes, Lizzie and Harriet. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Mina Slade, Bertha (Sterling) Slade and Doreen (Edison) King, all of Salmon Cove; five sons: Harold (Blanche), Edward (Linda), Mark (Vivian), William (Maxine) and George (Ruby), all of Salmon Cove; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; one brother: William, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Thursday, March 3. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove
