Obituary of Dorothy Harris

HARRIS, Dorothy H.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, January 27, 2005, Dorothy H. Harris of Port de Grave, formerly of New Chelsea, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband, William; daughter: Evelyn and great-grandson: Kolby Rideout. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Hazel (Robert) Gillard, Pickering, ON; Robena (Mac) Jennings, Brampton, ON and Nellie (David) Porter, Port de Grave; three sons: Newman (Vella), Summerford, Raynor (Shirley), Little Burnt Bay and Hayward (Rosemary), St. John's; fourteen grandchildren: Lornell, Nerissa, Corey, Cristina, Robinlyn, Gary, Geoffrey, Ladonna, Colin, Hazel, Jennifer, Rayanne, Christopher and Tegan; fifteen great-grandchildren: Matthew, Marcus, Brianna, Joshua, Caleb, Faith, Tanisha, Nicholas, Melanie, Nathan, Aaron, Emily, Damian, Aiapay and Amber; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at the Pentecostal Tabernacle, Port de Grave after 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28 and until 12:00 noon Sunday, January 30. Funeral service to follow on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Port de Grave. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Gideons International.
