SLADE, Lester G. - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, September 29, 2004, Lester G. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Jessie; brothers: Issac and Chesley; sister: Winnifred. Leaving to mourn, wife: Frances; three daughters: Deborah Wilcox (Gord Ash), Victoria, Pearl (Terry) Coish, Bay de Verde and Shirley (Blair) Delaney, Mount Pearl; three sons: Wayne (Sophie), Boyd (Paula) and Ken (Tracey), all of Salmon Cove; ten grandchildren: Sheryl, Jennifer, Leslie, Trevor, Cody, Michael, Justin, Gillian, Mark and Andrew; three sisters: Emily Butler, St. John's, Vera Slade, Salmon Cove and Pearl (Herb) Churley, Mount Pearl; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Saturday, October 2. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Lester G. Slade Memorial Fund for a charity to be decided later.
