RODGERS, Norman C. - Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 17, 2004, Norman C. Rodgers of Sibley's Cove, age 71 years. Leaving to mourn, wife: Mary; two sons: Charlie (Trina) and David (Jennifer), both of Brownsdale; one daughter: Wanda (Billy Carlin), St. John's; two precious grandchildren: Emily and Devon; brother: Gordon (Mae) Rodgers, St. John's; sisters: Alice (Roy) Sparkes, Lucy Barnes and Joan (Wilfred) Eddy, all of Sibley's Cove, Annie Hopkins, Brownsdale, Frances (Heber) Pryor, New Melbourne and Linda (Richard) North, Bay de Verde; sister-in-law: Betty (John) Lockyer, Bay de Verde; brother-in-law: James Abbott, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove and from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Bethel United Cemetery, Sibley's Cove. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John's.
