SOPER, Jennie L. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, April 4, 2004, Jennie L. Soper of Harbour Grace, age 100 years. Predeceased by husband, John 1985; parents: Lorenzo and Mabel; brothers: George and Lorenzo; sisters: Ethel, Emma, Elizabeth and Lillian; mother-in-law: Marian (David) Murphy. Leaving to mourn, sisters-in-law: Sadie Slade, Carbonear, Helen (William) Meaney, California and Annie Stevenson, Corner Brook; brothers-in-law: George (Hilda) Soper, Corner Brook, Leonard Soper, Florida and Gerald (Mary) Butt, Boston; step-sisters-in-law: Molly Tobin, Corner Brook and Nellie Murphy, Stephenville; special cousins: Roy Ash and Helen Tilley, both of St. John's, a number of nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE until 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 7. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Restoration Fund.
