REID, Crosbie D. B. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2004, Crosbie D. B. Reid of Heart's Delight, age 65 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by father and mother: Frederick and Hilda Reid; brothers: Jack, James and Ellis; sister: Dorothy. Leaving to mourn wife: Elsie; one son: Perry, North Bay, ON; two daughters: Dianne Hillier, Heart's Delight and Michelle (Frank), St. George, Heart's Desire; four grandchildren: Leanne Hillier, Jenel Carriere, Megan and Dylan Reid; five sisters: Rona Burris, Texas, USA, Joyce (Dr. Jay) Clampett, California, USA, Audrey Woodman, New Harbour, Ivy Crocker, Cambridge, ON and Shirley (Don) Sooley, St. Albert, AB; sisters-in-law: Mabel Reid and Margaret Reid, both of Heart's Delight; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Bethel United Church, Heart's Delight on Monday, Jan. 26 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, Jan 28 at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment in the United Cemetery, Heart's Delight. Flowers gratefully accepted or as expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Carbonear General Hospital Palliative Care Unit or a charity of one's choice.
