Obituary of Florence Cole

COLE, Florence L. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 10, 2004, Florence L. Cole of Victoria, age 82 years. Predeceased by husband: Mark Sr. and parents: Ernest and Margaret Slade, brothers: Bob, Jack, Don, Nick and Bill, sisters: Ann, Ernestine and Effie. Leaving to mourn, six daughters: Margaret (Dave) Clarke and Unetha (Melvin) Penney, both of Salmon Cove, Robina Cole, Victoria, Melena 'Leanie' (Wally) Pike, Carbonear, Sheila (Patrick) Healey, Dunville and Patricia (Kevin) Bussey, Port de Grave; three sons: Larry (Marina) and Mark Jr. (Cynthia), both of Victoria and Brian (Sherrie), Salmon Cove; twenty-six grandchildren: Lorrie, Sonya, Tony, Rodney, Jason, Roger, Scott, Deanne, Barry, Sheila, Sean, Sheldon, Tina, Connie, Tanya, Kellie, Dion, Kim, Adam, Sheena, Kevin, Kirk, Kristopher, Natoya, Jillian and Mark; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one brother: Major Slade, NS; brother-in-law: Melvin Laughing, NS; sisters-in-law: Leanie Oates, NS and Elsie Cole, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Monday, January 12. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the United Church, Victoria.
