Obituary of Joseph Chubbs

CHUBBS, Joseph L. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, June 12, 2003, Joseph L. Chubbs of Carbonear, age 78 years. Predeceased by parents: Leander and Louise; baby daughter: Laura; brothers: Fred, Ernest, Gus, Charles, Cyril, Oscar and George; sisters: Bell and Edith. Leaving to mourn his wife: Shirley; two daughters: Donna (Peter) Dooley, Carbonear and Cathy (Derek) Oates, Corner Brook; two sons: Glenn (Wanda), Mount Pearl and Lloyd (Loriann), Carbonear; six grandchildren: Chastity (Andrew), Brian, Cheryl, Rebecca, Chelsea and Claire; one brother: Leslie (Nita), Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Elva Chubbs, Melita Chubbs and Helen (William) Barrett, all of Carbonear, Ena Chubbs, Mount Pearl, Maxine (Calvin) Seymour and Irene (Ed) Taylor, both of Harbour Grace; brother-in-law: Chester Murray, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Monday, June 16. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. No flowers by request; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Joseph L. Chubbs Memorial Fund.
