SLADE, George H.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, January 24, 2008, George H. Slade of Western Bay, age 89 years. Predeceased by son: George William; daughter: Donna; brothers: Fred and Tobias; sisters: Naomi Budgell and Annie Taylor. Leaving to mourn, wife: Winnifred 'Winnie'; one daughter: Judy (William) Blundon, Chapel Arm; three sons: Fred (Ada), Dennis (Brenda) and Kevin (Diane), all of Carbonear; seven grandchildren: Deanne, Terry, Cynthia, David, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Nicole; one great-granddaughter: Brianna; daughter-in-Law: Sandra Slade, Western Bay; one brother: Jethro (Joan), Western Bay; one sister: Ruby (Ron) Legge, Twillingate; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, MAIN HIGHWAY, WESTERN BAY until 12:00 noon Sunday, January 27. Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in McDowell United Cemetery, Western Bay North. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to McDowell United Church, Western Bay.
