Dianne, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I have many fond memories of how wonderful she was to us from our childhood days and I always think of you and your family when I pass by the house in South East. When I think of your mother,I picture her in her beautiful flower gardens which she tended with such care. It was so nice to see both of you at the reunion the summer before last. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. Take care, Pat

Dear Dianne and Family, We are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. We have such warm memories of her from the times we were able to see here and from my dad's recollections of her and his conversations with her over the years. It saddens us too that we have lost so many of the most important generation of a large and loving family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love from all the O'Keefe's in this part of the world

Dianne, Brenda, Uncle John, Uncle Charl and Ruby, I was so sad to hear the news of Aunt Marie's passing. It hardly seems possible that both she and my father have left us this year. We were fortunate to have them for as long as we did - I will cherish memories of the excitement I felt as a child when Aunt Marie was on the phone from Newfoundland! Her visits, along with Dianne, are also fond memories. Dianne, I can only hope that Aunt Marie went peacefully and happy knowing that you were with her. My love to all. Dear Dianne, My most sincere sympathy on the death of your mother. She was always a welcome person in our home , as you know, for many years. She and your Dad always made us welcome in Southeast as well. Her beautiful smile gave others a lift. Although she lived a long and mostly healthy life I am sure you will miss her . Let's hope that she and Mac and Mom and Dad are welcoming each other today as they did for so many years. It was truly a "family" relationship that we all shared. My thoughts and prayers are with you Dianne, sincerely, Roberta Kennedy -Gillespie

Three days ago I was fortunate to have had a wonderful visit with Aunt Marie at Carbonear Hospital. She was joking about her condition, asking about my family, and wishing us well. It's hard to believe she has passed away. We always enjoyed visiting with her and she will be remembered as a very kind and loving aunt.

Dear Dianne, John, Charles, and families. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I have many fond memories of Aunt Marie both visiting her at her home and her visiting mine. I still have many of the beautiful hats and mittens she made for my boys when they were young. She was always in my dad's thoughts and prayers and I'm sure he's happy to be reunited with his loving sister.

Dear Dianne, Brenda, Uncle John and Uncle Charlie: We were saddened to learn of Aunt Marie's passing just after we returned from a visit with my Mom in Bethlehem during the holidays. Pam and I have many fond memories of Aunt Marie, including staying with her at her home during our trips to NFLD in 1980 and 1983 (before our children Tom and Kim came along). During those visits we spent many evenings with John and Sheila at Aunt Marie's, having tea and crackers before turning in. We also have fond memories of Aunt Marie at cousin Gail (O'Keefe) Treanor's wedding in Arlington, MA in 1982, after which my Mom, Dad (brother Frank) and Aunt Marie stayed with us touring Cape Cod for a few days. Aunt Marie will always have a special place in our hearts for her strength and grace in bearing the sudden losses that befell her during her life: especially the passing of Mac, Jerome and Pam, and Bobby. Aunt Marie, you have been a shining example for us all (especially so as you were the only sister in a gang of brothers!) and a most beloved Aunt. You will forever be in our thoughts and prayers as will your brothers who have passed: Ron, Frank and Ed.
