PENNEY, James H. Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home on Saturday, January 13, 2007, James H. Penney of Carbonear, age 88 years. Predeceased by wife: Clara B.; brother: Raymond. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Shirley (Gordon) Williams, Harbour Grace and Emma "Penney" (Edwin) Evely, Victoria; two sons: James H. Jr. (Marjorie), Carbonear and Selby (Dianne), Paradise; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Gertie (William) Clarke, Gander; sisters-in-law: Emma Forward, Bessie (Clyde) Evely, Muriel Parsons and Winnie Parsons all of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Tuesday, January 16. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment to take place in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
