HISCOCK, George L.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, September 29, 2007, George L. Hiscock of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 60 years. Predeceased by parents: George and Agnes; sister: Dorothy; brothers: Wilfred and Gilbert; sister-in-law: Yvonne; brother-in-law: Frederick; nephew: Wally and step-brother: Douglas. Leaving to mourn, wife: Donna; two daughters: Angela (Michael) Duke, Torbay and Michelle (Sean) Butt, Freshwater, Carbonear; two grandchildren: Zachary and Emily; three brothers: David (Regina), St. John's, Elvis (Debbie), Freshwater, Carbonear and Roger (Cheryl French), Carbonear; three sisters: Mabel Turnbull, Freshwater, Carbonear, Marjorie (Jim) Penney, Carbonear and Rita (Karl) Slade, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours on Sunday, September 30 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Monday, October 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
