COLE, Gertrude- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, Gertrude Cole of Victoria, age 86 years. Predeceased by father: Jabez King and mother: Hannah J. King Reid; step-father: John T. Reid; infant son: James; infant daughter: Louise and son: Harold W. Leaving to mourn loving husband of 65 years: Harold V.; one son: Eugene (Virda), Victoria; daughter-in-law: Peggy, Victoria; seven grandchildren: Harold (Tracy), Tony (Nancy), Shawn (Charlene), Lisa, Barbara Ann (Raymond), Eugene (Sue) and Randy (Lori); seven great-grandchildren: Toni, Jackson, Natalie, Toni, Keesha, Requal and Nathan; two brothers: Leslie Reid, St. Thomas, ON and Harvey Reid, Quebec; six sisters: Jane Bishop, Broad Cove, Ella Kay, Port Arthur, ON, Olive (Leonard) Mallan, Montreal, PQ, Phyllis Myzener, Montreal, PQ, Beryl Clarke, Victoria and Joyce (Arch) Miller, Portugal Cove; sisters-in-law: Louise Stephenson and Janie Cole, both of Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Saturday, October 7. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the United Cemetery, Victoria.
