PARSONS, Douglas G.- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, September 4, 2006, Douglas G. Parsons of Salmon Cove, age 53 years. Predeceased by sons: Albert and Doug; parents-in-law: John and Elexey Slade; sister-in-law: Phyllis Slade and brother-in-law: Barry Slade. Leaving to mourn wife: Harriet; daughter: Tina (Eddie) Hefford, Heart's Content; two grandchildren: Kurklyn and Kaitlin; parents: James and Mabel, Freshwater, Carbonear; brothers: Bert (Frederica), Nelson and Jim (Denise), all of Carbonear, Evan (Barbara) and Junior (Bonnie), both of Freshwater, Carbonear; sisters: Judy (Lloyd) Green, Carbonear, Elsie (Will) Collins, Victoria, Dallas (Eric) Parsons, Leona (Randy) King, Susan (Dennis) Green and Claudette (David) White, all of Freshwater, Carbonear; Helen (Hubert) Parsons and Claudia Parsons (Bernie Woodrow), both of Salmon Cove; brothers-in-law: Sterling (Bertha) Slade, Harold (Laura) Slade, Ralph Slade and Walter (Wanda) Slade, all of Salmon Cove, Will (Carol Ann) Slade and Matthew (Dorothy) Slade, both of Broad Cove and John (Stephanie) Slade, Victoria; sisters-in-law: Florence (Frederick) Trickett, Perry's Cove and Doreen (Scott) Noel, Kingston, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Thursday, September 7. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Douglas G. Parsons Memorial Fund.
