Deb, Bill and family. So very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I always enjoyed "Uncle Russ", especially when the visit was in Poppy's kitchen. What great stories were told by that very close circle of friends and family. I will always remember him as as being kind, friendly and a lot of fun. He was a wonderful man. Sincerely, Joan

My deepest sympathies to everyone in the Howell family. I have such fond memories of everyone, including your Dad, all different, but all very special. Bill, we went to school together from Kindergarten to grade eleven, and I just cannot imagine your loss. Pam, Jack, Trudy and Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. Duncan, I will never forget you looking after us Girl Guides on the Barrens at the cabin - ever grateful and I always think of you whenever I look at the direction that Juniper trees tip their tops. I remember your Dad and Tom Powell there too. Debbie, you were such a good and close friend growing up in Carbonear - some things cannot ever be measured, and there will never be enough purple smarties - I am so sorry that you have lost your Dad. Mrs. Howell, I remember the smell of bread baking - what a view you had from your kitchen. One of my most important childhood memories are of two dogs, Doc, and Scout. Without any fear ever and never barked at, I walked though the gate into the Howell home. And Mr. Howell, I remember you sitting across from my Dad at work, two family men, hard working, and running the business - may you now rest in peace. Sincerely, Stephanie (Pike) Harlick and family

A'FORE YE GOES.... DUNCAN AND FAMILY: IT WAS AN HONOR AND A PLEASURE TO KNOW YOUR FATHER. Under the wide and starry sky, Dig the grave and let me lie. Glad did I live and gladly die, And laid me down with a will. This be the verse you grave for me: Here he lies where he longs to be; Home is the sailor, home from the sea, And the hunter home from the hill. NIALL AND GALE BUTT CARBONEAR. A'FORE YE GOES....
