PARSONS, Lily M.- Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, August 7, 2006, Lily M. Parsons of Victoria, age 96 years. Predeceased by husband: Arthur, 1957; daughters: Joyce Parsons, 1937, Irene Parsons, 1940, Donna Cumby, 1988 and Julie Cole, 1992; son-in-law: Ashmore Cole, 1993; granddaughter: Debbie Cole; brother: John Slade; sisters: Gertrude Ash, Asenath King, Millie Slade and Cicily Cole. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Muriel (Fred) Baldwin, Victoria; one son: Ralph (Lillian), Victoria; son-in-law: Albert Cumby, Heart's Content; eight grandchildren: Ralph (Brenda) Cole, Renee (Gerald) Clarke, Arthur Parsons, Fred (Regina) Baldwin, Paul (Christine) Baldwin, Cathy Cumby, Debbie Cumby and Doug Cumby; eleven great-grandchildren: Andrew, David, Donna, Victoria, Zane, Christina, Melissa, Nicholas, Jessica and Cheyanne; one brother: Herbert (Meta) Slade, Salmon Cove; brother-in-law: George Parsons, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Wednesday, August 9. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria.
