STEPHENSON, Alexander G.- Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, May 12, 2006, Alexander G. Stephenson of Victoria, age 87 years. Predeceased by parents: James and Amelia; sister: Annie Clarke. Leaving to mourn wife: J. Louise (nee Cole); two daughters: Eleanor (Wilfred) Parsons and Jeannette (William) Sharpe, both of Victoria; two grandchildren: Ann Marie (Philip) Grouchy and Michael (Kathy) Parsons; four great-grandchildren: Jillian, Joshua, Justin and Jenna; two brothers: Jack, British Columbia and William (Jean), Victoria; six sisters: Irene Grey, St. John's, Rosalie (Howard) Noyes, Ontario, Dorothy Smith, Mount Pearl, Eva Leslie, New York, USA, Jennie (John) Egbert, Utah, USA and Mary Dawe, Upper Gullies; brothers-in-law: David Clarke and Harold (Gertie) Cole, both of Victoria; sister-in-law: Janie Cole, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Saturday, May 13 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.; Sunday, May 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Monday, May 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church, Victoria.
