Obituary of Raymond Sweetland

SWEETLAND, Raymond- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, Raymond Sweetland of Carbonear, age 68 years. Member of Masonic Lodge, Carbonear and Trinity Conception Shrine Club. Predeceased by father: Edward and brothers-in-law: Gerald Brown and Maxwell Sellars. Leaving to mourn, wife: Daphne; one daughter: Rae (Jim) Barnes, Harbour Grace; two sons: Edward, Brampton, ON and Keith (Heather), Carbonear; five grandchildren: Lucas, Andrew, Christopher, Noah and Halle; mother: Mary Sweetland, Harbour Grace; brothers-in-law: Chesley (Joan) Brown and Herman Brown, both of Bay Roberts; sisters-in-law: Emma Sellars (Ches Russell) and Minnie Brown, both of Bay Roberts; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Thursday, April 27. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
