To Eric and Family Sorry to hear of your dad's passing, he was a great friend of my father who worked at Saunders & Howells. While I was working with CN in Carbonear he would stop by every day and we would have great conversation. He made many trips from the North Shore to Carbonear and could tell many stories. My condolences to your family.

I REMEMBER MEETING "PICK" MILLEY MORE THAN 25 YEARS AGO. HE'D COME TO THE OLD SAUNDERS & HOWELL PLANT TO LOAD UP WITH SOME LUMBER FOR PEOPLE "DOWN THE SHORE". AMONG OTHER THINGS, ABOARD THE OLD TRUCK HE'D HAVE LOOSE COAL AND MAYBE A NEW CHESTERFIELD OR TWO. IT WAS A TREAT TO SEE HIM COMING ANY DAY, BUT ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAYS WHEN WE'D JOKE AND CARRY ON. I BELIEVE HIS FAVORITE SAYING TO ME WAS "YOU'M A HARD CASE, BUTT, YOU'M A HARD CASE!!!" GOD BE GOOD TO HIM. NIALL BUTT. CARBONEAR.
